Quorn on the barbecue.

Quorn Kebabs

From The Blog Mint Custard!

I have been using Quorn to replace chicken in recipes for years.  The texture of quorn is just like that of chicken.  I have used this in meat dishes and my die hard meat eaters in the family, LOVE IT!

Want to get your family to eat more vegetarian?  This might be the trick to help move yourself and family there.

This is a great post on what Quorn is and it’s possibilities.  Please check it out!

Quorn on the barbecue..

Enjoy!

Thank you for sharing. Looking for suggestions about feeding my family since my 12 year-old son decided to become a vegetarian 2 weeks ago. Thanks!

I have been posting about 2 years and my son just decided to become vegetarian two weeks ago. For this veggie hating Mommy it has been a tough transition but one I am tackling!

It’s a challenge. Part of the problem with veggies is that people tend to boil the heck out of them! They get “mushy”. I don’t know why they did that. I grew up in farm country. No we weren’t farmers. My dad did have a big garden and a mini orchard. We ate a lot of our veggies off the tree or vine so to speak. They are much sweeter that way. And my mom would freeze a lot for the winter, but somehow she did it without boiling them. I think she steamed. Then froze. With your son. Does he like tacos. If so, you can get veggie crumbles some with Mexican seasoning. Saute onion and garlic. Heat up the veggie crumbles. If they are not seasoned, put in some cumin and chili powder to taste. You can store this in the fridge and feed it to him on nights you don’t have time to cook separate things.

Thanks for telling you have been doing this for awhile. I was looking at your website and asking myself why mine didn’t look that good. I can learn from you.
