I couldn’t believe that this was cauliflower. It looks like the real deal. Something to definitely try!
Cauliflower is fast becoming my favourite vegetable. As lame as that sounds, it’s fantastically versatile and can be used in so many interesting ways – like cauliflower steaks! While not particularly tasty when plain, the cauliflower acts as a blank canvas ready to take on any flavour. Here the ‘steaks’ are smothered in a sesame infused teriyaki marinade, absorbed by the cauliflower while it cooks making it extra flavourful.
The thing that really makes this dish is the garnish, so don’t skip that step! The fresh coriander and spring onion really bring the cauliflower to life. A squeeze of lime for some zing and black sesame seeds for a nutty note.
