I love sweet potatoes and what a wonderful way to make them. This is much better than the sweet potato dishes that soaked with margarine and covered with marshmallows. I love how the roasting brings out the natural sweetness of the potatoes!
Sweet Potato Fries ~ Cook time: 15 minutes | Serves: 2
Sweet potato fries are sweeping the nation! You can find these delicious fries on almost every restaurant menu nowadays. Healthier than their regular potato counterpart, sweet potato fries are just plain good.
This is a savory version of sweet potatoes as opposed to the sweet version you may be used to when Thanksgiving rolls around. I lightly pan fry them with lots of spices to send them over the top.
2- sweet potatos, peeled and diced
3- tablespoons of garlic powder
2- tablespoons of black pepper
2- tablespoons of salt
1- tablespoon of paprika
3- tablespoons of olive oil
Peel the potatoes, then cut them in half from root to tip.
Cut each half into matchsticks.
Then dice ’em up!
Throw the potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
In a small bowl, combine all of your spices and mix together.
