It’s January~Diet Time!
Last night, we went to a church meeting. We pulled into the parking lot and it was packed. Yikes! Our meeting wasn’t that exciting, so what was happening? Well. It turned out that it was the first meeting of Weight Watchers for 2017. Everyone is ready to get rid of the excess poundage that the holidays brought.
This morning I saw that Good Morning America had a segment on weight loss diets that experts like. Here are the 7 best diets
Weight Watchers
Mayo Clinic Diet
TLC diet
Flexitarian diet
MIND diet
The Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) diet is a hybrid of the top-rated DASH and Mediterranean diets.
I love Mediterranean food, so this is my favorite diet. The diet recommends emulating how people around the Mediterranean traditionally ate, with meals low in red meat, sugar and saturated fat, and high in “good” fats from olive oil or fish, and lots of vegetables, according to U.S. News and World Report.
DASH diet
And a very interesting diet I had not heard of before. The DASH diet may not be as well known as other recommended diets, but it has consistently been found to be among the most effective diets for weight loss. This year marks the seventh time it’s been rated as the No. 1 overall diet by U.S. News and World Report.
If you want to find out more about these diets, go to the NHIBI website. They have free guides on the diets!
You can read the full article if you want to find out more. They have a great video that goes with it.
Good Luck Everyone!
