From Vega Table
I am a sushi fanatic. Before I became a vegetarian, I use to love going out for sushi after work. When I did become a veg head, I thought that I would never eat this again. However, a few years back, The Sky Bar opened up on the island. It was an indian/sushi bar restaurant. What a combination?
They have lovely vegan sushi. Along with their vegetarian spring rolls, the sky bar is my place that I go for special treats or celebrations. I happened on this post today. A sushi bowl. Yummy. And a lot of the ingredients are similar to the sushi I get at the restaurant. I have got to try this. And soon!
This Spicy Sushi Bowl is definitely worthy of my first post of 2017 . . . I can’t believe I haven’t shared this yet! This was one of my favorite lunches I meal prepped a few months back . . . the flavors were so different than what I usually eat for lunch, it made […]
Sorry that I am so late posting about our weekend. I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. Don’t ever upgrade you Computer OSX if you think you are going to need to use your computer. Apple put out a new upgrade to the Mac. OSX. I had the bright idea to upgrade the system on Wednesday, see as how Jim would be home.
I am definitely not a tech person. So I need someone here to help if things go wrong. That is definitely Jim! Needless to say, everything went fine with the upgrade. The problem is that there were so many changes, that I had to spend a couple of days figuring everything out! I think I have it now!
We had a wonderful holiday. Our breakfast was perfect. I actually didn’t know what we were going to have until the last minute. We decided not to have an elaborate Thanksgiving. It was just going to be Jim and I this year. We thought we would just go with the flow. Read the rest of this entry »
From Sylvia Melange!
This is a wonderful dish. I make something like this myself for when I have guests coming over. Or if I have an access of red peppers in the garden, I will make this up, keep in the refrigerator until I want something simple and delicious. Serve it with French Bread and a glass of white wine. Heaven! Check out of her site!

Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Banana each alone are wonderful tastes. Put them together in one recipe and it’s heavenly. This is a beautiful bread that is topped with a chocolate ganache. My husband loves ganache, so I know that this will be a winner in our house!
From the Something Clean Something Green Blog!
Panzella is one of our favorite salads. It’s a great way to use stale bread. This recipe adds a delightful twist by using rye bread. And there comes a point that we are overwhelmed by all the tomatoes from our garden. Homegrown tomatoes make this a great treat! Great recipe!
From The Where The Blueboots Go Blog!
My husband loves sushi. He had a bad experience once with food poisoning and rarely will order it in a restaurant now. I have looked for a recipe for vegetarian sushi, but they all looked so complicated. Needed ingredients that would be hard to get. This recipe looks easy and doesn’t require anything that I haven’t seen in our store. I am going to give it a try!
From The Life Noted Blog!
Like Life Noted, I love quiche too.! The creaminess of a quiche. Mmm. A wonderful blend of veggies and cheese. And no, bacon or ham doesn’t get into my quiche! I like Life Noted’s idea of using a quiche as a way to clear out the refrigerator!
This is a beautiful dish.
