Have you ever watched the movie Rudy? In it, his friend Pete said “that dreams are what makes life bearable.” What a lovely thought. And as for Rudy, he was a small guy that had been told he wasn’t college material and there was no way he would ever be part of The Fighting Irish! He didn’t let that stop him. I followed his dreams. And he got them. If you get a chance, go watch the movie Rudy. You won’t be sorry!
This is from Denise, a blog friend of mine. I read it and was reminded that the place that is most peaceful for me is my garden. It’s where I go to find my center. And a toad or two. It’s where I am headed in a few minutes.
I hope you enjoy it.
As a vegetarian, when you go to picnics, it’s hard to leave it feeling like you had a decent. It’s even harder living in Texas, where BBQ is ubiquitous. The only vegetable dishes are cole slaw or potato salad. They never heard of veggie burgers. And it’s the same old, same old.
Here is a perfect picnic for everyone. It might not have meat, but it has style! I think this might be next Sunday’s meal! Thanks for the ideas.
High blood pressure is a leading cause of death. Many heart attacks due to high blood pressure are preventable. And high blood pressure is responsible for most strokes and kidney damage. If you survive a stroke you can have severe limitations with your life style. Isn’t it worth it to get your blood pressure down?
A great drink to help with this!
I saw this post for blueberry muffins on the belikewater blog. They look wonderful. These would be perfect for Sunday breakfast/brunch tomorrow morning. Please check them out!
