Fall Spiced Stovetop Potpourri

From MissLifeStyler.com!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like fall!  Especially  with the aromas that are abounding.  People forget how tantalizing smells can be.  And when I start smelling vanilla, pumpkin, cinnamon, I know that the holiday season is right around the corner!

A quote from Miss Life Styler!

It’s FALL YA’LL! …and you know what that means: time to wear comfy winter clothes, drink an obnoxious amount of pumpkin lattes and make your home smell like SPICED HEAVEN!

From My Friend Denise at  denisebalog…Grace filled devotionals!

Denise has told me that she has a special coffeecake.  She posted it today.  Wow!  It looks scrumptious.  And it came at the perfect time.  I have a morning meeting on Saturday and I am going to bring this.  I have a feeling there won’t be any left for Jim, poor baby.

My Week In The Blogosphere!

Posted on Updated on

BeachI hope all of you had a great week.  I know for many people you were trying to get the kids ready for school.  Or you might have getting yourself ready to go back yourself.  I decided to do some rearranging of Marcey’s Table.  It’s been almost 4 months since I joined you.  I have learned a lot.  I’ve grown as a blogger.  I feel that the blog needs to start changing.

I am working on my about page.  When I started, I didn’t know what to write.  I have a better idea.  I want you all to get a better idea of who I am, what some of my interests are.  The page will be something I work on over time.   As the sign sign says, “work in progress.”

Chevre Chaud~~Warm Goat Cheese Salad

Posted on Updated on

Chevre Chaud SaladToday was just one of those days that I couldn’t find time to eat(a doughnut at a meeting doesn’t count).  By the time I was headed for home, I was ravenous.  I called my husband and asked him to make me a salad.   When I got home, there was a plate of Chevre Chaud waiting for me.

My husband spent a lot of time in France in the 1980s for his job.  As a result, he go to eat a lot of meals of his French coworkers.  This salad with warm goat cheese is one he got to love.  He started making it at home.  It’s simplicity in itself.  It’s fast to make.  And we always seem to have goat cheese around.  It’s our go to dish when we are in a hurry to sit down and eat!
